At Feather Ridge, we specialize in Saddleseat and Hunt Seat riding while focusing on creating well rounded horse people! Whether you are a seasoned pro with the goal of competing at the national level, a recreational rider looking to have fun and improve your skills, or a young kid looking to start a new journey, Feather Ridge has something just for you.
New students start out in a private lesson, and upon instructor recommendation will move into a semi-private or group lesson. Group lessons are fun and interactive, and students benefit from the support of their peers and learning by example. All lessons are approximately 30 minutes riding time. It is recommended that all students take at least one lesson per week to help solidify their progress. It is suggested that students arrive 15 minutes early to help get their horse tacked up for lessons and stay after to help properly put them away.
Your rider's lesson time might be 30 minutes, but sometimes part of that 30 minutes is on the ground learning how to safely interact and handle horses. This is incredibly important for our new riders.
